Sunday Night

by admin on Jan.18, 2009, under sport, university

Well, Fresher’s Week is almost over. I really feel at home here at university and I am thoroughly looking forward to the year ahead of me.

I am just back from the gym. This was my second time at the gym which really is an excellent facility. I have a year’s membership so I will be at the gym plenty. Now, I am about to rustle something up to eat.

I have had a brilliant time during Fresher’s Week and have met some great people. The Student Union, where I have spent a lot this week, is really good. Everything from a cheap cooked breakfast reading the paper to a great night out watching live music is possible at the Student Union.

World Floorball Championships

by admin on May.30, 2008, under sport

12,535 people turned up to watch Sweden win the final of the largest floorball competition in the world. That is not including the live television coverage throughout the world, including the UK.

I am pleased to see the popularity of floorball growing. The sport is very young in he UK and many people have never heard of it. Click here for more information about what floorball is or click here to watch floorball.

The final was Sweden against Finland and was a superb game to watch. The following quote was taken form The official Website:

“The Championship final turned out to be a game that had everything a spectator could ask for. Fight, a classic turn around and a golden hero in sudden death.”

Several games can be watched on the following website. They are worth watching!
